Upgraded Plan

Since we are having dreadfully slow connection these past few days and it’s giving me a real headache, we settled on upgrading our speed connection plan. It was from 1mbps to 2mbps now and it was just connected this afternoon. Since it’s vague waiting for PLDT Mydsl connection and I’m tired of hearing complains from my customers, we considered upgrading.

We are still in the testing process and looking for a great result soon. The representative of our provider informed me that the reaction will be seen in 2-3 days so it might not be giving the best for now. Let’s see if this resolution will work for good or not. I’ll post in one day here. 

The shop's renovation

We had our shop renovated as for maximizing space and for a better look adding up the reason of preparing more spaces for more computers in the near future. We are operating with 6 computers for renting and we are hoping for additional 2 or more units. Since the shop is doing well and we’re also having growing number of customers, more units are really needed. Just like now as I’m attending our shop, many renters are waiting for their turn, hehe. Good thing a new blessing arrived and our plan will have a big chance to come true.

As you can see, 4 computers are set together in the right side of the shop and the other 2 units are in the middle portion. It makes the shop crowded because of the server positioned in the front corner. 

So, we (actually it's Cholo's idea) came up of renovating the shop for the better. Here's the shop now:

All units are positioned in the left side of the shop and the server is now on the right upper part. It makes the place more convenient for renters and also for us.

The new look of my blog

I do like the new look of my new dressed up blog. I’m so proud of myself I now know how to create my own header and I like how the color blends and how my piece looked like. I am not a pro when it comes to designing this kind of thing and it so flattering having this masterpiece now. I hope you’ll like it! :)

I will consider this as a new learning for me.

Business Permit

Our net shop is frequently open until 01:00 am to 02:00 am dawn. Sometimes, though not intentional, customers make a lot of noise inside the shop and that bothers me it might cause inconvenience in our neighborhood. Actually, I do have understanding neighbors around but of course if they will encounter frequent disturbance because of my shop, I’m sure they will complain soon. Mom as my mentor advised me last night to get a business permit from our barangay for me to comprise legal documents in case I will have any issue in the future. And that supposed to be the first thing I’ve done when I started up this kind of business. I’m not saying that I’m conflicting rules but I already tried to get a permit from them but they advised me to do it after the election this May, so, I followed. However, though it might be sound wrong because some may think about that “PADRINO” thing since the chairman of our barangay happened to be my partner Cholo’s uncle, we intended to go after the right process appropriately. I don’t want other people to be aware that our internet shop is operating without any permit. So in order for us not to be known for abiding any regulation, my Partner get a barangay business permit then.  It is also a big help to us not to be required from getting any other business permits aside from this one given that our shop is located not near commercial area.

I also want everything about the shop to be taken care of and put in proper order. Before, we are not so strict in regard to the policies and regulations of the shop. But, I noticed that sometimes it became disadvantage in our part. So what I promised myself now is to become more firm but not to the point that it will affect the operation of our business hence still keep our customers and provide quality customer service.

Counter Strike

Counter-Strike is a tactical first-person shooter video game developed by Valve Corporation which originated from a Half-Life modification by Minh "Gooseman" Le andJess "Cliffe" Cliffe. By the fourth beta version, Valve Software, the developer who created Half-Life, began assisting in the development of Counter-Strike. In 2000, Valve bought the rights to Counter-Strike, and would publish the title for Microsoft Windows that year, and later in 2003 for the Xbox. Mac OS X and Linux ports were available in January 2013.

The game has been expanded into a series since its original release, which currently includes Counter-Strike: Condition Zero, Counter-Strike: Source, and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive. Counter-Strike pits a team of terrorists against a team of counter-terrorists in a series of rounds. Each round is won by either completing the mission objective or eliminating the opposing force.

The game was the most played Half-Life modification in terms of players, according to GameSpy in 2008.

Here in our net shop, Counter Strike is the most game players usually play. They sometimes play 3 by 3 means three players versus three players occupying 6 computers. They sometimes have their bet which is commonly known here as “BAYAD PC”. The lost players will be the ones who pay for the rent of the 3 winning players.

Our shop has its good sales because of this game. I don’t know why they’re hooked on it, if I will assess the game it is just like an action film or much better to be like soldiers fighting with the terrorist that is actually the real concept of it hehe. Even girls are captivated in this game including my nieces and also my nephew. Sometimes, I want to try playing it but I’m afraid I might be obsessed like the others.

Target Market

I remember a friend’s question when we were just starting this business of ours. Since I am just a first time business woman, before entering the business I have now, I considered and pondered a lot. From the business plans and operating techniques up to how to serve customers by heart (hehe, it’s really important to serve them by heart though sometimes they are really irritating) But, I have this thing in mind until now in its analyzation. My friend asked me “what’s your TARGET MARKET?” Actually, it was just a familiar word I heard when I was in college and doing my feasibility studies. Then, that familiar word has to be truly understood now.

For me, target market is a group of customers or patrons patronizing my products or it can be anyone interested in my services. This is the very first thing to consider when you are putting up a business of your own. Of course, it will not become a business if you don’t have your own customers.

From the first day of the operation of our Computer Shop, while observing every patron we have, we then realize who our target market is. The opening of the shop happened to be in summer season and students and children are on their summer vacation. I have to choose from the markets which are GAMERS, RESEARCHERS and just typical RENTERS doing anything in the net considered as SURFERS. Gamers are a lot in the shop, if you will just notice though they can be deem as Surfers, even with their Facebook accounts they are playing games. So, more than half of the people renting in our shop are included as GAMERS. Maybe because it’s summer vacation and children are not yet ready for their researches. Come month of June we will then see.

Nevertheless, whoever our target market is, for me the most important still is the customer service we are providing our customers.

Antivirus

The renters of the shop missed me a lot since it was not open yesterday due to our family outing. So, they woke me up so early in the morning to rent. I had no choice but to stand on end to accommodate them though I'm still sleepy and tired and really wanted to sleep more. Until this afternoon there are still lot of gamers and renters here in the shop.

Suddenly, I found out that the antivirus software in PC 6 has been expired since it's only a trial version of Norton Antivirus. In order to fix everything, I inserted my flash drive with the ESET NOD32 ANTIVIRUS saved on it. I didn't know that the flash drive has virus and PC 6 got infected. It really irritates me because I have to reformat the computer again so that the other computers in the shop will not get infected. It's so annoying to have a free trial version of a software.

So, what I'm going to do now is to reformat the computer. But I have also learned to provide a full version of every software I have for me not to encounter this again in the future.

According to Wikipedia, Antivirus or anti-virus software is software used to prevent, detect and remove malware (of all descriptions), such as: computer viruses, malicious BHOs, hijackers, ransomware, keyloggers, backdoors, rootkits, trojan horses, worms, malicious LSPs, dialers,fraudtools, adware and spyware. Computer security, including protection from social engineering techniques, is commonly offered in products and services of antivirus software companies. I searched for the best antivirus in Goole and found out this comparisons of different antivirus to use. It's very helpful. I know now what to do. This is the site.

Computer Specifications

When it comes to computer, you will always hear the word "specs" to those computer wizards. I am not really into computers before, my degree is very far from computer technology studies. When I had my first computer few years ago, I didn't check for the specifications of it because for me it doesn't really matter. But that was before.

When we started our own business and provide our own computers, I then realized how important "specs" is. Everything about the computer starting from it's very tiny part has it's big role for the computer to work properly. So, when our technician checked for the specifications of the units we bought, we make sure we will have the good ones.

Changes...

As I was checking and sorting all my blogs in the past that were abandoned and left undone, I found out this one which I can use for some stuffs that I want to write and share. This was a love blog I made which is a copycat of my other blog that has it's own domain now. So I decided to make this my diary of the things I've known and learned. This will also be the page for my new discoveries, learning and searches. As for now, this will look like a simple blog but I will try to make this one of the great blogs I have. A lot of thanks...

Every night, Cholo always prepares food for me to bring for lunch at work. He finds time to spare some minutes to cook food for me. He's the one having this headache of thinking what will be for my pack lunch.

He said that he's not a good cook like my husband but he makes sure every viand he's cooking will have the best ingredient... TLC (tender, loving, care) (hehe). Though he's tired from work, still doesn't avoid him from pampering me in terms of cooking and the likes. Of course, it's very much appreciated.

I never have this chance of cooking something for him every  day for his pack lunch since we're not living together in the same house. So, for giving him the credit back, I just kiss him and utter thank you when he's done cooking. I never fail to let him know I appreciate every little thing he does for me all the time.

So, I promised that when the time comes that we're living together, I will always find time to prepare things and to cook for him. I know how tired he is from work but still have time to let me feel how much I am loved by him. Thank you so much Dhie for being so dearly to me. I know  you will always love me and I'll love you back. I hope nothing will change on us and will stay the same. I'm certain you will and I'm surely will. :)

Happy 17th month with you

Happy 17th month with you DHIE! I hope this day will be a great day for both of us. I hope we will be celebrating our months and years together for a life time. I don't want to celebrate it to any one but just with you... only you. I love you and I always will. :)

Their favorites

We have our favorite fast food chain to dine in every time we go out together. Cholo's fave is Mang Inasal because of its unlimited rice. He wants to maximize each and every amount we spend every time we eat out. All the time, he makes sure that when we go out the chain, we're full. (he he)



And now, our little girl has her own favorite. It's the kids favorite for all time. It's JOLLIBEE!!! Every after Yushin finishes her shower and starts to dress up, she will say "Mimhie JOLLIBEE tayo" means (Lets go to Jollibee). She can even say the word JOLLIBEE straightly unlike the other 2-year-old kid. When we're at Jolibee she just want to play and eat chicken. Chicken is now one of her favorites.



After shift or tomorrow after mass, I'll try to bring her to Jolibee and treat her because it's my pay-day. I know she will be very excited but her Didhie Cholo will not because we will just pass by Mang Inasal and go inside Jollibee to let Yushin enjoy. (he he). But of course, he will not complain because he knows that Yushin is the priority :) .

Happy Birthday Bhaby

Yesterday, I suddenly woke up chilling, I felt so cold. I then realized that it's not hot inside the room. It came in my mind that Joey just visited me, I know he just want to remind me of his birthday. Yes, today is his birthday.

Joey might not know that I never forget every special moment about him especially this important day of him. When he was still alive, we used to celebrate his birthday grandly. We save much so that when his birthday comes we can celebrate it with our mutual friends all expense paid by us. We were celebrating two occasions including our anniversary. We make sure that the day will be a great day for both of us. But that was when he was still with me in this world. That didn't avoid me from celebrating this special day though Joey is not on this earth anymore. So, after my shift later we'll visit him at the cemetery to celebrate the day with him and my family.

I couldn't help myself from crying every time these occasions come that we used to celebrate together. But, I have to move on and just treasure every little memory we had shared when we were together.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY BHABY!!! I DO REALLY MISS YOU SO MUCH. I LOVE YOU FOREVER

Sunday, after mass

We  have our Sunday routine of going to church and attending the mass at 9:00 am. I always make it a point to spare more hours for preparing and look good every time I go to church. I'm one of the members of SOM Choir serving the 9:00 am mass.

Last Sunday, I didn't forget to take some photos for the day for me to share.







I want Yushin to be always with me when I go to church for her to be familiar with God and of course to praise Him. And now, when Cholo doesn't have work, he should be with us also. :)

A letter for you

I don't know the reason but I really want to be with you from time to time. I have this happiness in me every time I'm with you. I know you're not perfect but I love your imperfections. Aside from my late husband, you're the only guy who appreciates me that much. I'm so happy to have you.

Though we've been together for not that long, I can feel and I know how much you love me. I love you in return. You are the dearest guy for me now. You can handle all my tantrums and can understand who I am and who I was. You will be the only man I will love for the rest of my life and I hope you'll be the same.

I love you DHIE. Thank you for everything. You and my daughter are my life now. I want to be with you forever. :)

Family Bonding...

The next day after Yushin's birthday, we went to Our Lady of La Salette Church in Silang Cavite. We just planned to attend mass, unfortunately we were too early on the place. The mass will start at 5:00 pm and we arrived the church at lunch. So, we just had a quick pray and photo shoot after. The place is nice, I've been there many times since we've been invited to sing as choir for the Sunday mass a lot of times. It's a very relaxing place plus the beautiful scenes that you can see. It was Cholo's first time there and Yushin has been there twice. Cholo very liked the place..

We had fun in the place and enjoyed the moment together. We took a lot of pictures and these will be the samples... :)







After, we went to the mall to have our lunch and took some time to relax. We ate at Mang Inasal which is our favorite, Know why? coz Mang Inasal has their unlimited rice which really fits for Cholo... Cholo is a heavy eater, he can eat up to 8 cups of rice in a dine... hehe :). And it's really worthy and affordable eating there, right? We used to it there with our bare hands, it really makes us full... :)

It was really fun having a family bonding once in a while or if possible make it weekly. The joy and satisfaction really help us, regardless of the expenses.. it's worth it!

Maybe next time, we're planning to go out-of-town. We want to spend more time with Cholo before he leave and go work abroad. I want to treasure every moment that we will be together so that I will not miss him that much if he's gonna work far :)

FATHERS for real...

This is a late post for father's day.

I know that being a dad is really a big responsibility and I can say that I do admire those daddies whom are responsible and love their families much. They are one of a kind. I don't have a great dad but I'm still grateful that at least he was once a good dad to us. My dad left us and is living with another girl now. It was really painful for me coz the time that I lost my husband, I lost my dad as well. I know it's more painful to mom but I can say that she's really a tough woman. Since then, my dad had lot of affairs. I've seen my mom cried rivers and I'm used to it. Maybe it's really her fate not to have good husbands to be with.

Despite the fact that my daughter also lost her father, I'm still proud that she has lots of replacement fathers now. She has her DADDY YOBIB, who treats her like a real daughter. She is the only daddy of my girl. Her UNCLE JUN is a one lovable dad to my little girl, he takes care of her when I'm at work and he loves her very much. Sometimes, my little girl wants to be with him over me... hehe! but I never feel sulky about it. I do understand how much she loves her Uncle and her Uncle Jun feels the same. CHOLO her DIDHIE who is now the provider also loves her very much. He always wants to give everything for our little girl. Whatever she requests, he tries to provide it with all his efforts. Though she's not her daughter in blood, I can say that he's acting a real one. He also said that I forgot to greet him on father's day, I asked him why coz I know that he's not yet a father. But, he answered me back "I'm Yushin's father, I am now a father". So touching and didn't prevent my tears from falling. This father's day I know that Yushin has a lot of good fathers and I'm so proud and glad about it. Thanks for that :)

16th Month with YOU

We are neighbors and he used to call me ATE (sister). We were good friends before but became better as good friends now. After I gave birth to my daughter Alexia, I didn't have time to entertain suitors because of my thoughts not to have another man except for my husband. Cholo and I were sending quotes and messages thru our phones just for simple regards and greetings everyday, without even knowing that those connections will lean-to a deeper relationship. He's younger than me and he was like a younger brother to me then. He just asked for some pieces of advice for his past relationship with his girlfriend that he was with for 5 years, and me as being a big sister to him just also providing advises for him to be ok and for him to recover for such depressions he had. The regular texts and messages tend to lead us to develop something within that we both really didn't notice. It's just it. It happened unexpectedly, we fell in love with each other and admitted the feelings we have within us.

At first, it was really hard. Our families disagreed on our relationship. They said that he's too young for me and the fact that I have a child is not really acceptable for them. Plus, his parents are my Godparents on my wedding. They said that they treated me as their own child and it's really painful for them to know that me and their son will be together as boyfriends. But that didn't prevent us from loving each other. Though we heard a lot from our own families, some people disagreed and even spread rumors about us... we're still here UNAFFECTED. Oftentimes, it led me to dislike him and made me always ask for separation. But because of the sincerity in him, It always fall to reconciliation. Every time he's telling me not to be affected by them, I can say that he's the guy who really loves me no matter what. I can feel it inside. I can feel how much he love me and it makes me  weak... weak for not letting him go and leave me. We are now facing the world, Romeo and Juliet were. hehe :)

But, it really doesn't matter. As long as we love each other, no one can take us apart. We don't really care if they don't like us to be together, our relationship is the most important to us. I know that we are happy, though we're not perfect but I know that our imperfections are our best weapon. Through good times or bad times, we are here and still be here.

We are now in our 16th month together. HAPPY 16TH MONTH WITH YOU DHIE. I will love you more and more each day. Thank you for loving me much, my SUPERHERO

He is now the ONE...

When my husband died 2 years ago, for me that is the saddest part happened in my life. We were together for seven years and was deeply in love with each other. I didn't even imagine he'll leave me that instant. The fact that I was having his baby inside me that time was really a big distress for me. He passed away 10 days after our church wedding. It was very painful for me. But of course, I have to go on with my life, I have to move on.

And now, unexpectedly someone came. Without even waiting for someone to come that quick to my life. But I can say that God is really good to me. He never let me feel sad that long. He replaced my husband with someone I can say not as good as him but I know will be better for me. Though it's not easy for everyone to accept it that much but we know that time will heal everything and eventually gets better. I can see the things other can't see and feel the sincerity in him. I'm just hoping that someday everyone can understand my reasons.



I just want to thank you for being as tough as what you are right now, you've never been affected by the people around you. You didn't even listen to what others are saying about us even the fact that your family has a big no-no to us. I'm proud you are the replacement. I'm proud and I'll always be. Thanks for loving me and my daughter that much. You've been a great help to me and to my bleeding heart :) hehe... I love you DHIE, I always will.
